- Formative qualitative research for HIV/STD Network Prevention Trial in Northern Vietnam (A trial by NASB and John Hopkins University, US). (in collaboration with other departments).

In progress: - “Using DALYs Concept in measurement of burden of diseases in Vietnam”. The DSS Chi Linh dist., Hai Duong province is selected to be field site. Approved by MOH, 2003. (in collaboration with other departments).

“Situation analysis and sustainable for health care financing”, under Ford Foundation, USA supported, 2003 – 2005.

“Costs of three diseases related to smoking”, funded by Rockerfeller Foundation and The Collaborative Funding Program for SEA Tobacco Control Research, Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), 2003 – 2005.

Developing measures to reduce stigma related to epilepsy, NIH grant 2003-2005. (in collaboration with other departments).
