Introduction

The Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH)'s Library and Information Center (LIC) was established and developed based on the existing library inherited from the School for Health Care Professionals (the former name of HSPH).

With a total area of about 200 square meters, the LIC serves more than 500 users. Users include faculty, staff and students from HSPH, and researchers from other health related institutions. The LIC is equipped with wireless networks so that its users can easily access the internet.

Our resources include 20,000 volumes of books, CDR, journals and newspapers that cover all aspects of public health. Moreover, students and faculty at HSPH have access to the PubMed/Medline (via HINARI) and EBSCO databases . Many important links to useful online resources are also available at the LIC's website.

Every Friday, the LIC holds information literacy workshops on searching skills and information evaluation in order to help students to take advantage of our information resources. We promise to provide the best services for our students, faculty and staff, and support the teaching, learning and research goals of the school and to become one of the nation’s prominent information centers specializing in public health.
