
Over the past few years, the exchange of teaching staff and research between HSPH and research institutes in the world has been increased remarkably. HSPH has organized seminars, meetings and international short-courses at HSPH. These activities help to improve the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs.
Atlantic Philanthropies is one of HSPH’s most important partners and is currently helping the school to improve the quality of training, research and consultancy. Other partners include the Dutch Government ( Project: Training and Managing of primary healthcare for six provinces, 2001-2005); Rockefeller Fund (Program: Public Health Training Program integrated with field site - PHSWOW, supporting field-based training of managing and research capacity for MPH students); Ford Fund (Capacity Building and Improving for Department of Reproduction Health and Department of Social Sciences, funding for Ph.D of social science, coordinating with American Population Council in Program: Capacity Improving for master degree – holding staff,); China Medical Board of New York (Project of capacity building for Chililab staff and supporting Chililab activities); American Center of Diseases Control (CDC) (Project: Capacity Improving for public health sector in HIV-AIDS prevention activities in Vietnam); 6-year learning exchange program with London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine under sponsor of British Council. The Rockefeller Fund and China Medical Board of New York are the two main partners and sponsors currently supporting HSPH in establishing Master of Public Health Program in its initial years.
HSPH also coordinates with several universities and organizations from around the world, such as: University of Washington (teaching material development and teaching in injury prevention, training of injury epidemiology for staff), Queensland University of Technology (developing teaching material for bachelor program, teaching staff training, participating in teaching some subjects at HSPH); London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (developing Health Policies subject, developing library and distance learning program).
