Introduction:
The Department of Hospital Management (DHM) was founded from the Hospital Management Division in the Faculty of Health Management. The Hospital Management Division was formed in 1976.
The department of hospital management is responsible for:
- Developing and lecture on levels and short courses and long training courses
- Re- training health management in pubic health courses
- Lecture on project management and monitoring and evaluation
- Training hospital management for specific courses
- Training for short courses of Minister of Health and provinces, in one week to one month
- Lecture on Master of hospital management courses

Many training methods were applied to improve quality of education. Methods that were used are lectures in class’s fieldwork, training in provinces and distance learning. Lecturers of hospital management participate in training and research activities of both Ha Noi school of Public health and beside school which relate with pubic health and hospital management field. Department of hospital management is assigned by Ha Noi school of Pubic Health to developed the graduate curriculum (Master Degree) of Hospital management, the first course was started in 2008.
