The goal of CHILILAB

The goal of the CHILILAB DESS is to collect basic demographic and health indicators , on a regular basis, for undertaking public health research and training activities. This can serve as a basis for policy making and capacity building in order to enhance local community health and Vietnam public health.

Priority research areas:
Trends in general mortality and morbidity under socio-economic changes.
Patterns and trends in adolescent health (reproductive health, STDs, HIV/AIDS, injuries, and non communicable diseases) and the risk, and protective factors influencing adolescent health and health behaviors.
Patterns and trends in non-communicable disease under the changes of socio-economic status of the population.
